The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) increased to N128.83 trillion on Tuesday, March 24, from N127.75 trillion on Monday, March 23.

NGX data showed that the market capitalisation of the bourse increased by N1.08 trillion.

Also, the all-share index (ASI) of the NGX jumped by 1,691.86 basis points to 200,705.88 ASI, from 199,014.02 ASI.

Over 1.29 billion shares were traded in 89,949 deals, valued at N65.33 billion, exceeding the 848.83 million shares, worth N53.34 billion, exchanged in 139,458 deals on Monday.

Top five gainers

  • Airtel Africa’s share price increased by N227 to rise from N2,270 to N2,497 per share.
  • Consolidated Hallmark’s share value grew by N0.45 kobo, from N4.50 kobo to N4.95 kobo per share.
  • John Holt ended trading at N14.30 kobo per share, from N13 per share – indicating an increase of N1.30 kobo.
  • Lotus Hal15’s share appreciated by N14.60 kobo to end trading at N160.60 kobo, having opened with N146.
  • Legend Internet’s share value was up by N0.60 kobo, after closing at N6.60 kobo from N6 per share.

Top five losers

  • FGSUK2032S5’s share price depreciated by N8.95 kobo, dwindling from N100 to N91.04 per share.
  • FGSUK2032S7 recorded a N7.93 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N100 after opening with N107.93 kobo per share.
  • NPF Microfinance Bank recorded a N0.44 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N6.56 kobo after opening with N7 per share.
  • Royal Exchange lost N0.10 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N1.78 kobo from N1.88 kobo per share.
  • CWG reported a decline of N1.05 from the previous share price of N21.80 kobo to end trading at N20.75 kobo per share.

  • Access Holdings reported that 266.78 million shares valued at N6.02 billion were traded on its floor.
  • GTCO recorded 184.37 million shares valued at N19.39 billion.
  • Wema Bank saw investors trade 182.48 million of its shares valued at N4.77 billion.
  • UBA recorded 119.04 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N5.75 billion.
  • Zenith Bank reported that traders exchanged 42.70 million shares valued at N4.57 billion.
