The Obidient Movement has called on its supporters across Nigeria and in the diaspora to remain calm amid growing speculation over recent political developments involving its principal, Peter Obi.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the movement said Obi is currently engaged in “extensive, high-level consultations” with key stakeholders, political allies, and aligned groups to determine the most strategic path forward.
The statement comes against the backdrop of heightened political activity and shifting alliances ahead of future electoral contests, which have triggered widespread discussions within Nigeria’s opposition space.

“As a movement founded on integrity, accountability, and active citizen participation, we remain dedicated to ensuring that every decision reflects our values and long-term vision for the country,” the statement read.
While acknowledging concerns among its supporters, the group cautioned against reacting to unverified reports, stressing that the consultations are “deliberate and thorough.”
It further assured that Obi would, in due course, formally address members of the movement and the general public to provide clarity on the situation and outline the direction ahead.
The Obidient Movement, which emerged as a major political force during Nigeria’s 2023 general elections, reiterated its call for unity among supporters as discussions continue behind the scenes.
