The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) said the market capitalisation increased by N184.11 billion to N106.15 trillion on Friday, January 30.

NGX said the market capitalisation surged from the N105.96 trillion reported on Thursday, January 29.

However, the all-share index (ASI) depreciated by 156.91 basis points, from 165,527.31 ASI to 165,370.4 ASI.

Over 687.38 million shares were traded in 41,553 deals valued at N14.98 billion, compared to the previous day’s 691.41 million shares worth N15.37 billion, traded in 38,665 deals.

Top five gainers

  • FGSUK2031S4’s share price increased by N17.99 kobo to rise from N81 to N99 per share.
  • LOTUS HAL15’s share value grew by N12.10 kobo, from N121 to N133.10 kobo per share.
  • ZICHIS Agro ended trading at N4.19 kobo per share, from N3.81 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.38 kobo.
  • Abbey Mortgage Bank gained N0.85 kobo to end trading at N9.40 kobo, having opened with N8.55 kobo.
  • RT Briscoe’s share value was up by N0.71 kobo, after closing at N7.86 kobo from N7.15 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • FGSUK2032S5’s share price depreciated by N17.40 kobo, dwindling from N110 to N92.59 kobo per share.
  • Living Trust Mortgage Bank recorded a N0.45 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N4.05 after opening with N4.50 kobo per share.
  • Livestock lost N0.70 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N6.30 kobo from N7 per share.
  • Learn Africa recorded a N0.90 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N8.10 kobo after opening with N9 per share.
  • Deap Capital reported a decline of N1.04 from the previous day’s share price of N10.43 kobo to end trading at N9.39 kobo per share.

Top five trading equities

  • Veritas Kapital reported that 80.47 million shares valued at N196.99 million were traded on its floor.
  • NSLTECH recorded 79.27 million shares valued at N87.53 million.
  • Deap Capital saw investors trade 33.31 million of its shares valued at N340.48 million.
  • Access Holdings recorded 30.98 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N703.02 million.
  • Zenith Bank reported that traders exchanged 30.54 million shares valued at N2.18 billion.
