NGX: Legend Internet Leads Gainers’ List, Fidson Tops Losers’ Table

On Wednesday, March 25, the market capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) increased by N141.13 billion to N128.97 trillion.

The NGX market valuation had increased from the N128.83 trillion reported on Tuesday, March 24.

Based on the NGX data, the all-share index (ASI) also appreciated slightly to 200,925.75 ASI, up by 219.87 basis points, from the 200,705.88 ASI recorded the day before.

About 537.99 million shares were traded in 45,641 deals, valued at N25.38 billion, on Wednesday, compared to the previous day’s 1.29 billion shares exchanged in 89,949 deals, valued at N65.33 billion.

Top five gainers

  • Legend Internet’s share price increased by N0.66 kobo to rise from N6.60 kobo to N7.26 kobo per share.
  • Zichis’ share value grew by N0.66 kobo, from N10.37 kobo to N11.40 kobo per share.
  • Premier Paints ended trading at N31 per share, from N28.20 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N2.80 kobo.
  • John Holt’s share appreciated by N1.40 kobo to end trading at N15.70 kobo, having opened with N14.30 kobo.
  • Consolidated Hallmark’s share value was up by N1.40 kobo, after closing at N5.26 kobo from N4.95 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • Fidson share price depreciated by N10.50 kobo, dwindling from N105.35 kobo to N94.85 per share.
  • Austin Laz recorded a N0.44 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N4.01 after opening with N4.45 kobo per share.
  • LotusHal15 recorded a N14.60 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N146 after opening with N160.60 kobo per share.
  • LivingTrust lost N0.34 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N4.46 kobo from N4.80 kobo per share.
  • NSLTECH reported a decline of N0.10 kobo from the previous share price of N1.42 kobo to end trading at N1.32 kobo per share.

Top five trading equities

  • Wema Bank reported that 104.33 million shares valued at N2.75 billion were traded on its floor.
  • Access Holdings recorded 42.76 million shares valued at N1.11 billion.
  • Zenith Bank saw investors trade 33.85 million of its shares valued at N3.56 billion.
  • Zichis Agro recorded 26.64 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N221.15 million.
  • GTCO reported that traders exchanged 25.57 million shares valued at N2.86 billion.
