Netizens React To TB Joshua’s Documentary

Social media platforms are buzzing with discussions surrounding a recent three-part documentary on the late televangelist, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua (TB Joshua), produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation’s Africa Eye. The documentary, titled “Disciples: The Cult of TB Joshua,” spans over 150 minutes and has been widely shared on YouTube.

It features compelling video testimonies from former disciples and church workers, levelling grave allegations against the deceased prophet. The accusers claim that TB Joshua manipulated and physically abused them, coercing them into remaining under his influence for periods ranging from 10 to 14 years.

A significant number of accusers hailing from the United States, the United Kingdom, Namibia, and South Africa recount tales of enduring manipulation within the Synagogue Church. The documentary also delves into the tragic incident of the September 12, 2014, building collapse, which claimed the lives of at least 116 individuals, predominantly foreigners.

The aftermath of the abuse inflicted by Joshua had profound and lasting effects on the victims. Rae, who spent 12 years inside Joshua’s compound, expressed her disappointment that Joshua escaped facing justice for the atrocities committed before his death.
