With doctors recommending the amputation of his leg to save his life, the actor faced a daunting choice. “If they cut off my leg, where will I go to? I don’t want my leg to be cut off,” he lamented, reflecting the gravity of his situation.
Despite the challenges, Mr Ibu underwent multiple surgeries in late October, raising hopes for his recovery. However, the need for further interventions became apparent as his health deteriorated. In November, his family announced the news that one of his legs had been amputated in a desperate attempt to prolong his life.

As months passed with little improvement in his condition, the news of Mr Ibu’s passing on March 2, 2024, sent shock throughout the entertainment industry. The loss of the veteran actor, known for his comedic brilliance, left a void that will be felt by fans and colleagues.
