‘Mohbad Felt Like Jumping To The Ground Floor’ Bella Shmurda In Old Video

A resurfaced video featuring singer Bella Shmurda has brought to light the deep-seated mental health issues that the late musician Mohbad grappled with.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo in January, Shmurda revealed a distressing episode in which Mohbad battled with thoughts of suicide.

Shmurda disclosed that Mohbad’s struggle with depression had its roots in the termination of his contract with Marlian Music, a label owned by the renowned artist Naira Marley.

He shared a haunting anecdote from their time together, saying: “I do not want to say this but I will. I and Mohbad were in an apartment when he suddenly said he felt like jumping from the floor we were on, downstairs all because of the issues he was having with his label.”

It was only thanks to Mohbad’s girlfriend that this potentially tragic situation was averted. She intervened when she realized he was on the brink of taking his own life.

This revelation adds a poignant layer to the recent passing of Mohbad, whose death was announced on a somber Tuesday evening. Bella Shmurda’s willingness to open up about his late friend’s mental health struggles underscores the importance of addressing mental health issues within the entertainment industry and society at large.

It serves as a stark reminder of the urgency of providing support and resources to those who may be silently battling their own demons.
