The Senate, shrouded in concern, hastily went into a closed-door session, while medical experts worked tirelessly to bring the nominee back to consciousness.

A confidential source within the Senate revealed that Mr. Lawal’s unexpected collapse was due to severe exhaustion, undoubtedly brought about by the rigorous screening process and the weight of his potential ministerial role.

As the nominee was carefully conveyed out of the Senate chamber in an ambulance, his screening process appeared to have hang in the balance.

However, the show must go on as the Senate promptly resumed its duties with the third nominee, Ayodele Olawande from Ondo State, taking the hot seat.

Balarabe Abbas Lawal, one of the three new ministerial nominees under scrutiny, came back to the limelight with a powerful statement. “I want to bring this experience to wherever I find myself in the new cabinet of the president,” he declared, expressing his determination to contribute to the success of the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

He also thanked the Senate for the opportunity to address the chambers.
