Mrs. Augustina Atanda, a sports enthusiast who also played hockey for her Federal Government College, Warri, secondary school, decided to go appeal to the elder Osimhen to allow the young man’s abundant football talents, blossom.
Victor Osimhen’s father reluctantly accepted the teacher’s assurance to mentor his son and consequently gave his approval.
In a bid to appreciate the woman’s role played in his career, the Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG – linked striker went back to the school.
The two embraced warmly as the woman reminisced of the past.
Another video showing the presence of Osimhen at Olososun, Ikeja area of Lagos surfaced online with youngsters standing downstairs and pleading with Osimhen on a storey building to help them financially.
