Jonathan Majors Convicted For Assault, Dropped By Disney

Jonathan Majors, an emerging Hollywood star, faced a major setback on Monday as he was convicted of assaulting his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

The trial, which Majors hoped would vindicate him, instead resulted in a guilty verdict for one misdemeanor assault charge and one harassment violation.

The incident in question unfolded in March, with Jabbari alleging that Majors attacked her in a car, causing her “excruciating” pain. In contrast, Majors’ defense argued that Jabbari was the aggressor.

The Manhattan jury’s decision brought a halt to Majors’ aspirations for redemption, and the repercussions were swift – Marvel Studios and the Walt Disney Co. severed ties with the actor mere hours after the verdict.

The conviction dealt a severe blow to Majors’ career, particularly as he had been on the verge of becoming a central figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Before his arrest, Majors was set to play the antagonist role of Kang, a character with substantial significance in the Marvel universe. Having already appeared in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and the first two seasons of “Loki,” Majors was slated to star in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” scheduled for release in May 2026.

Majors, who maintained a stoic demeanor upon hearing the verdict, left the courthouse without commenting on the outcome. The immediate repercussions were felt in Hollywood, with Marvel and Disney swiftly removing him from all upcoming projects.

A source close to the studio, speaking on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that Majors’ removal was immediate and final, signaling a decisive response to the conviction.
