Impressed by the contributions Victor Osimhen has made since joining Galatasaray, Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu, has declared that the club will go to any length to retain the free-scoring striker.

Abdullah Kavukcu emphasised that financial considerations will not be a barrier, thus rubbishing insinuations in some quarters that the 25-time Turkish Süper Lig champions lack the financial muscle to wrestle with money bag suitors from Europe and Saudi Arabia.

According to Kavukcu, Galatasaray is prepared to activate Osimhen’s release clause and meet his wage demands to secure his future at the Turkish club.

Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Serie A side Napoli. During his time with the team, the former Lille of France talisman, made significant impact, netting an impressive 36 goals in 40 appearances

His contributions were instrumental in helping Galatasaray clinch both the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup, solidifying his reputation as a key player.

As the football world awaits Osimhen’s decision about his future for the upcoming season, interest from elite European clubs continues to grow. However, Galatasaray remain determined to extend his stay beyond the current loan arrangement.

“We began discussions with the club president about Osimhen back in January,” Kavukcu shared in an interview with A Spor. “We made it clear to Osimhen then: ‘We want you here with us; please don’t consider other options. We are actively working on securing your transfer.”

Kavukcu further elaborated, stating, “We’ve been developing strategic projects aimed at facilitating this transfer, and I am pleased to say that we have reached the point where we are ready to negotiate. We are prepared to offer the financial package that he would receive from top clubs in Europe.”

This they have been doing through production of different banners with interesting messages eulogizing the striker and appreciating his exploits.

Transfer experts are predicting that it will be battle of the titans as it regards Osimhen when the leagues close and transfers take the centre stage.

At the last count clubs with interest in Osimhen either pending or about to the re-activated include English Premier League quartet, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle. Other clubs include; Serie A sides AC Milan and Juventus.

Saudi league side Al Hilal  as well as Al Ain of UAE are not left out.
