Gains In International Breweries, Thomas Wyatt, Others Earn Stock Investors N53.74 billion

Over N53.74 billion was gained by stock market investors on Monday, as Nigerian bourse jumped 0.2 per cent.

This increased the market capitalisation of the Nigerian stock market to N26.91 trillion from N26.86 trillion.

The All Share Index also appreciated by 98.67 basis points, rising from 49,316.29 ASI to 49,414.96 ASI.

Investors exchanged 76.74 million shares on Monday in 3,262 deals, valued at N1.32 billion.

However, during the previous session, they traded 103.71 million shares in 3,280 deals, valued at N2 billion.

Top five gainers

Thomas Wyatt share appreciated by 8.77 per cent to rise from N0.57kobo to N0.62kobo per share

International Breweries grew by N0.25kobo, up from N4.30kobo to N4.55kobo per share

Pharmadeko ended trading with N2.10kobo from N2 per share, rising by N0.10kobo.

LivingTrust gained 4.90 per cent to end trading at N1.50kobo, having opened with N1.43kobo

Caverton stock was up by 3.45 per cent, closing with N0.90kobo from N0.87kobo per share.

Top five losers

PZ depreciated by N0.90kobo, dwindling from N12.40kobo to N11.50kobo per share.

Chams also fell by 4.35 per cent to end trading at N0.22kobo, after opening with N0.23kobo per share.

UPDC REIT followed the same path, losing N0.10kobo after trading hours, to sell at N2.90kobo from N3 per share.

FTN Cocoa reported a decline of 3.23 per cent from previous day’s share price of N0.31kobo to end trading at N0.30kobo per share.

African Prudential share depreciated to N5.35kobo from N5.50kobo, after losing N0.15kobo during trading hours.

Top five trading equities in stock exchange

GTCO reported 16.60 million shares valued at N352.21 million were traded on its floor

UBA recorded 7.58 million shares valued at N55.94 million

Chams saw investors trade 4.15 million of its shares valued at N914,632.

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance recorded 4 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N2.44 million

Zenith Bank reported 3.77 million shares valued at 90.67 million exchanged investors’ hands.
