eNaira Speed Wallet Restored To Google Playstore

NIGERIA’S Central Bank digital currency, eNaira which was removed from Google Playstore on Wednesday has been restored.

The Speed Wallet App was removed from Googgle Playstore 48 hours after the eNaira was launched by the Federal Government at an event in Abuja.

The removal was due to series of negative reviews by customers who tried using the app but couldn’t as it was malfunctioning. Many people complained of inability to signup and use the app after downloading as it failed to verify their details entered during registration process.

In a statement, the CBN Director of Corporate Communications Department, Osita Nwanisobi, said there was no cause for alarm, adding that the app was temporarily removed to carry out upgrade In order to enable users derive great satisfaction using it for transactions.

Nwansiobi urged Nigerians to embrace the technology for smooth financial transactions, while warning that people should be wary of fraud syndicates who might seize opportunity that it is newly launched to dupe them.
