Emma Corrin Joins ‘Deadpool’ Franchise

The Crown star Emma Corrin has officially joined the cast of Deadpool 3,  Ryan Reynolds announced the the latest addition to the cast of the third Deadpool movie.

According to Deadline, Corrin is playing one of the villains , but the identity of her character is being kept under wraps.

Emma Corrin is a rising star in the entertainment industry, known for her exceptional performance as Princess Diana in the hit Netflix series The Crown.

Her portrayal of the late princess was widely praised for its depth, sensitivity and authenticity, earning her critical acclaim and a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Drama.

Deadpool 3 is currently in the works at at Marvel, with filming expected to begin sometime next year for a 2024 release. Ryan Reynolds is attached to reprise his role as the Merc with the Mouth, joined by Hugh Jackman, who is returning as Wolverine for the first time since 2017’s Logan.

The first two Deadpool movies were produced by 20th Century Fox before the studio’s acquisition by The Walt Disney Company. Deadpool 3 is being written as the first movie in the series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.

Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 8, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
