Ekiti New Gov. Oyebanji Re-appoints Yinka Oyebode As Chief Press Secretary

The newly sworn-in Governor of Ekiti State, his Excellency, Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji has re-appointed Mr. Yinka Oyebode as his Chief Press Secretary.

This was confirmed in a statement released on Sunday, October 16, 2022, by the state Head of Service, Mr. Bamidele Agbede which said the appointment takes immediate effect.

Oyebode was the Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past Governor, Dr. Kayode Famyemi during his first and second tenure.

Governor Oyebanji has also appointed Dr. Habitat Omolara Adubiaro as the Secretary to the State Government.

In the same vein, the governor froze all accounts of the State Government, all with immediate effect.

Oyebanji whose government was inaugurated on Sunday, October 16, assured the people that he would deliver on his campaign promises to position the state for prosperity.

He was sworn in by the state Chief Judge, Justice John Adeyeye, having been declared the winner of the June 18 governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The new governor during oath-taking, pledged to preserve the office, adding that he would work to ensure that his vision of making Ekiti State a land of prosperity, opportunities, peace, and progress, where people can reap the fruit of their labour, is realised.

He also pledged to build on the progress of his predecessor, Dr. Fayemi in the areas of ensuring access to quality education across all levels in the state to enable the younger ones acquire vital skills needed in the job market in contemporary times.
