CWG Leads Stock Market Gainers, Learn Africa Tops Losers’ Table

The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NG) decreased slightly to N75.95 trillion on Monday, June 30, from N75.96 trillion.

In the same vein, the all-share index (ASI) declined slightly to 119,978.57 ASI from 119,995.76 ASI.

Similarly, the all-share index (ASI) nosedived to 119,995.76 ASI, losing 776.92 basis points from the previous day’s 120,772.68 ASI.

At the end of trading today, over 2.03 billion shares were exchanged in 25,172 deals, worth N44.33 billion, compared to the N12.78 billion exchanged for 625.78 million shares in 21,800 deals on Friday.

Top five gainers

  • CWG’s share price increased by N1.15 kobo, to rise from N11.50 kobo to N12.65 kobo per share.
  • Caverton’s share value grew by N0.52 kobo, from N5.22 kobo to N5.74 kobo per share.
  • Neimeth ended trading at N6.53 kobo per share, from N5.94 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.59 kobo.
  • FTN Cocoa gained N0.33 kobo to end trading at N3.66 kobo, having opened with N3.33 kobo.
  • Meyer’s share value was up by N0.90 kobo, after closing at N10.05 from N9.15 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • Learn Africa’s share price depreciated by N0.51 kobo, dwindling from N5.10 kobo to N4.59 kobo per share.
  • Julius Berger recorded a N12.40 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N112 after opening with N124.40 kobo per share.
  • C&I Leasing lost N0.51 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N4.64 kobo from N5.15 kobo per share.
  • Thomas Wyatt reported a decline of N0.20 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N2.08 to end trading at N1.88 kobo per share.
  • DAAR Communications recorded a 8.20 percent decline in its share price to end trading at N0.56 kobo after opening with N0.61 kobo per share.

  • Royal Exchange reported that 502.26 million shares valued at N502.44 million were traded on its floor.
  • Oando recorded 371.07 million shares valued at N19.87 billion.
  • Access Holdings saw investors trade 328.38 million of its shares valued at N7.22 billion.
  • UAC Nigeria recorded 128.77 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N4.44 billion.
  • Living Trust reported 112.19 million shares valued at N539.65 million exchanged in investors’ hands.
