Crystal Palace on Saturday evening further dented Manchester City’s title defence as the Eagles came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against the Pep Guardiola’s side.

City’s stuttering form could be compounded if Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool win on Sunday.

City however created a new Premier League record as all 10 outfield players created goal-scoring chances in the first half.

City had led 2-0 through goals by Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis and appeared to be cruising to victory until Jean-Philippe Mateta pulled a goal back with 14 minutes remaining.

Nigeria eligible France international Michael Olise wrapped up a fine outing with the penalty kick in added time after Phil Foden fouled Jean-Philippe Mateta forcing referee Paul Tierney pointing to the spot.

Without Erllng Haaland available, Guardiola deployed a standard lineup that outshot Crystal Palace 19 to five but avoidable mistakes are creeping into the game of the current champions.

Pep Guardiola’s side have now failed to win five of their previous six matches with the only win coming over recently promoted Luton Town.

The team will jet off to Saudi Arabia for the FIFA Club World Cup which ends on December 22.
