About N47.97 billion was wiped off the equity capitalisation of the Nigerian stock exchange on Friday, May 30, after the shares of Conoil, Beta Glass, and others depreciated at the end of trading.
The stock market capitalisation fell to N70.46 trillion from N70.51 trillion reported on Thursday, May 29.

Furthermore, investors traded 1.90 billion shares, worth N64.14 billion, in 18,653 deals, surpassing the 556,44 million shares traded in 18,505 deals, worth N17.16 billion, on Thursday.
Top five gainers
- Omatek’s share price increased by 9.86 percent to rise from N0.71 kobo to N0.78 kobo per share.
- Redstar Express’ share value grew by N0.73 kobo, up from N7.59 kobo to N8.32 kobo per share.
- Deap Capital ended trading at N1.05 per share, from N0.96 kobo per share – indicating an increase of 9.38 percent.
- Sovereign |insurance gained 9.09 percent to end trading at N1.08 kobo, having opened with N0.99 kobo.
- May and Baker’s share value was up by N0.90 kobo, after closing at N11.80 kobo from N10.90 kobo per share.

- NCR’s share price depreciated by N0.73 kobo, dwindling from N7.30 kobo to N6.57 kobo per share.
- Beta Glass recorded a N25.85 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N232.65 kobo after opening with N258.50 kobo per share.
- Conoil lost N33.10 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N298.10 kobo from N331.20 kobo per share.
- Legend Internet reported a decline of N0.68 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N6.84 kobo to end trading at N6.16 kobo per share.
- IMG recorded a N3.70 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N33.65 kobo after opening with N37.35 kobo per share.
