Burna Boy Sets Record With Highest Grossing Venue

Nigeria superstar Burna Boy, continues to break and set records by redefining the global commercial success of African music. His latest achievement marks him as the African artist with the highest-grossing venue in the United States.

According to Touring Data on X, Burna Boy’s 2024 concert at the TD Garden Arena in Boston grossed a total of $1.593 million, surpassing his previous record set at Madison Square Garden in 2022.

During his concert, Burna Boy sold out the 19,000-capacity TD Garden Arena as part of his ‘I Told Them’ Tour, which has already raked in $11,659,531 from 11 reported shows out of the 22 stops planned. This achievement not only cements Burna Boy’s status as a global icon but also showcases the increase in demand for African music worldwide.

Since stepping into the international scene in 2018 with his hit single ‘YE’, Burna has achieved unprecedented success for an African artist. He holds the record of being the only Nigerian artist with two Diamond songs in France, namely ‘On The Low’ and ‘Last Last’. In addition, his Grammy-nominated fourth album ‘African Giant’ received a platinum plaque in France, a first for a Nigerian album.
