“The President extends sympathies to the police authorities over the losses of men and materials,” Shehu stated.

Buhari also urged Prof. Obiozor not to be deterred but maintain his commitment to peace and unity of the federation.

Meanwhile, the senator representing Abia-South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has also condemned the attack on Obiozor’s house, describing it as horrendous and despicable.

In a statement released on Saturday by his Media Adviser, Uchenna Awom, Abaribe said the unwarranted attack portrays a dangerous drift to a state of anarchy in the state.

He called for an immediate investigation into the incident to fish out the perpetrators.

“The attack said to have come on the heels of another attack on a Police Station in Umuguma, Owerri same day, calls for concern and deep introspection by Ndigbo and all men of good will. We cannot continue this way and it stands condemned in the strongest terms”, Abairbe who is the senate minority leader stated.
