Air Peace Boosts Capacity With New Embraer 190 Aircraft

Leading airline in West And Central Africa, Air Peace, has further strengthened its operational capacity with the procurement of a brand new Embraer 190 aircraft.

With registration 5N-CEF, the aircraft, which is the first of that Embraer model to be acquired by the airline, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Sunday, 22 June 2025.

Air Peace spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, who said the newly acquired aircraft is a 118-seater, revealed that the airline is expecting the arrival of another unit next month, further increasing the airline’s fleet.

This is part of overall efforts to boost the carrier’s plan to expand domestic, regional and international operations.

Describing the features of the new aircraft, Osifo-Whiskey said: “It is designed for efficiency, eco-friendly installations, and passenger comfort, such as a 2-2 seating layout, quiet and spacious cabin, making it the ideal fit for many of our routes. It enables us to connect more cities seamlessly and serve underserved destinations with the right capacity.”

He reaffirmed the airline’s dedication to reducing the cost of air travel in Nigeria by consistently making investments in the best aircraft for its wide network.

With the latest aircraft, and more expected to arrive in coming months, Air Peace continues to expand its fleet, maintaining its position as the leading airline in Sub-saharan Africa.
