Renowned Nigerian artiste, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage name MohBad, has tragically passed away at the tender age of 27.

The former Marlian Records signee died Tuesday, leaving the music industry and fans in mourning.

The distressing news was first shared by music executive Ovie via his platform #Ovieo on that same sorrowful Tuesday evening. He tweeted with a heavy heart, confirming MohBad’s untimely demise, marking it as an incredibly sorrowful day.

In a cryptic message that sent waves of sadness through social media, Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, popularly referred to as Olamide, posted on his handle, expressing his grief with a simple exclamation: “Damn! Mohbad.” Another tweet by Olamide read, “This life.”

Adding to the somber atmosphere, an old video resurfaced featuring Bella Shmurda, wherein he mentioned that MohBad had been grappling with mental health issues, compounding the sense of loss.

MohBad’s music has touched the hearts of many, with hit tracks like “KPK,” “Peace,” “Komajesun,” “Pariwo,” and numerous others. As of the time of this report, details regarding the cause and location of his passing remain unclear.
