Insecurity: Bandits Kidnap Over 24 Zamfara Varsity Students

Effort of the Joint Task Force Operation Hadarin Daji has yielded result as another seven female students of the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State, have been rescued.

Also, three construction workers were also rescued.

Prime Business reports that bandits had in the early hours of Friday, September 22, 2023, invaded Sabon-Gida community of the Bungudu Local Government Area of the State and abudcted students of the Federal University Gusau and three construction workers, who were working on a project in the University.

Sabon-Gida village is a community located opposite the main campus of the Federal University.

According to reports, the troops had earlier rescued six females. This now means that a total of 13 students have been rescued so far.

The names of the 13 rescued girls are as follows: Aisha Aminu Ujong: Education Physics (graduated), Saadatu Aminu Abubakar: Education Biology, Mariya Abdulrahman Usman: English (400l), Usaina Abdulrahman: English (100L), Jamila Ahmad: Biochemistry (200L), Felicia Sunday: Computer science (200L), Salamatu Jummai Dahiru: Microbiology (200L), Ketora Bulus: Physics (100L), Amamatullahi Asabe Dahiru: Education Chemistry (200L), Merry Sunday: Microbiology (300L), Rukayya Sani Batola: Education Chemistry (200L), Maryam Salawuddeen: Accounting (300L).

The three engineers working under GUPRAN Engineering Services Ltd are Ishaq Idris, Kamalu Shuaibu and Mustapha Abdullahi.
