Former Lagos Commissioner For Housing, Bosun Jeje

In a sober announcement that reverberated through Lagos state, former Commissioner for Housing, Bosun Jeje, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Jeje, who had previously served during ex-governor Babatunde Fashola’s administration, left behind a legacy of dedication to public service and an indelible mark on Lagos’ housing sector.

The news of his demise was shared by his elder brother, Pastor Adekunle Jeje, who took to Facebook to announce the sad news. In a heartfelt statement, he said, “May your soul rest in peace, my dear aburo Moshood Olatunbosun Adedeji Jeje, aka BOJECO, Mr. PARKERS. Died 2nd September, 2023. Buried according to Muslim rites.”

Sen. Gbenga Ashafa, the immediate past Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, expressed his deep condolences to the grieving family and the entire Lagos state All Progressives Congress (APC) community.

Ashafa, who had worked closely with Jeje, described him not just as a colleague but as a brother and friend.

“The late Jeje, a multifaceted individual, was known for his contributions to public service as a lawyer, banker, philanthropist, and businessman,” Ashafa remarked.

“His legacy was prominently marked by his tenure as a commissioner, where he showcased his expertise and dedication in addressing the housing challenges faced by the people of Lagos state.”

Bosun Jeje was recognized for his unwavering commitment to the betterment of Lagos state. “He was a decent gentleman and a technocrat who dedicated his life to the betterment of our dear state, Lagos,” Sen. Ashafa added.

“He was a dependable ally, always working toward the progress of Lagos state.”
Jeje’s passing marks the end of an era in Lagos state politics and public service, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
