In a bold and prophetic statement, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, assured the Nigerian federal government that the nation would be spared from military coups.
Primate Elijah Ayodele has not only delivered a prophetic message but also a rallying cry for Nigeria’s leaders to embrace accountability and good governance, lest they fall victim to the impending “political coup” fueled by the electorate’s dissatisfaction.
Instead, he warned of a coming revolution that he described as a “political coup.” Speaking through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the primate’s words carried a powerful message for the Nigerian political landscape.

“There will be nothing like a military coup in Nigeria again from now till eternity, anybody sponsoring or planning it will fail.” Primate Ayodele declared unequivocally. “The only coup that will come up in Nigeria is a political coup where people will use their votes to reject any candidate they don’t want.”
He emphasized that divine intervention had nullified any potential military coup in Nigeria’s future, urging the government not to panic but to focus on serving the nation’s citizens diligently. This assurance extended to state governments as well.
But what exactly does this “political coup” entail? Primate Ayodele elucidated: “There is a revolution in Africa and Nigeria will not be eluded but it won’t come like a military coup in Nigeria, it will happen democratically. Instead of military officers, it will be carried out by citizens. They will vote out anyone that doesn’t perform well, and any attempt to disrupt election processes will be revolted against.”
In his passionate address, Primate Ayodele also offered a sobering reminder to leaders at both federal and state levels, urging them to heed the call for improved governance: “I want to advise the federal government and state governments not to panic or be conscious of a coup, it won’t happen. They should start working for the sake of Nigerians in order to secure their future if not, this revolution will swallow them.”
Furthermore, the spiritual leader delved into Nigeria’s potential as a regional powerhouse: “Nigeria is naturally blessed, economically blessed, and politically blessed but our problem is bad leaders that are possessed by satanic forces. If not, Nigeria has all it takes to rule Africa now and in the future.”
