During the altercation, the robber stabbed Victor with a pair of scissors causing severe injury.

The noise of the struggle caught the attention of other tenants in the building, who rushed to Victor’s rescue. They managed to overpower the armed hoodlum and rescued Victor, who was in critical condition. The brave intervention of the co-tenants prevented further harm to Victor.

However, fueled by anger and a desire for justice, the angry residents took the matter into their own hands and unleashed their fury upon the suspect, beating him mercilessly. The assault proved fatal, as the suspect succumbed to the injuries by the angry residents and died.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that a pair of scissors and a toy gun were recovered from the deceased suspect. Victor, on the other hand, was swiftly rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment and is said to be responding positively.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities aim to bring back clarity and ensure justice for all parties involved.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the dangers faced by residents in Lagos and highlights the importance of swift police intervention to prevent such acts of violence.
