The curtains might be closing on Laporte’s memorable tenure at Manchester City. Arriving from Athletic Bilbao with a hefty price tag of €65 million in 2018, Laporte etched his mark on the Premier League stage, amassing an impressive tally of 180 appearances.

This fruitful period saw him contribute significantly to Manchester City’s trophy cabinet, seizing every possible accolade during his tenure. Nonetheless, his prominent role was reshaped with the entrance of Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig, prompting a shift in his position within the squad.

Laporte, currently in Athens with City for Wednesday’s Super Cup Final against Sevilla, struggled for games last season – largely due to Nathan Ake’s form – and is open to joining Al-Nassr.

After numerous weeks of back-and-forth negotiations, Laporte’s imminent transition to Al Nassr is on the verge of being finalized.

The Spanish football sensation is on the cusp of penning a three-year commitment with the Saudi club, with an anticipated annual earning of $15 million net.

His company will include football luminaries such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, Marcelo Brozović, and the former RC Lens midfielder Seko Fofana.

According to reputable sources like The Athletic, Manchester City has already given the nod to Al Nassr’s enticing proposition for Laporte.

As the chapters of his career unfold, Laporte’s move to Al Nassr beckons, promising a captivating new phase in his footballing journey.
