Also missing out from the Budapest part due to illness is Godson Brume, as well as the duo of Udodi Owuzuruike and Mike Edwards.

Godson Brume’s sister, Ese, is widely considered as the biggest medal prospect from the list of athletes that made the cut.

Edwards is currently working as part of a three-member panel of jury in the Big Brother Naija All-Stars Show.

The reality television star was part of the country’s last appearance at the World Athletics Championship in Oregon, USA in 2022.

The event begins on August 19 and runs until August 27.
