According to Police they have a warrant issued for the search of a house located in Nevada, in connection to the long-unsolved homicide case, ABC News reports.

“LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation. We will have no further comment at this time,” the police department said in a statement.

The legendary rapper was severely injured on the 7th of September 1996 after a shooter pulled up in a white Cadillac against his car and opened fire.

He was afterwards taken to a hospital where he died six days later from his injuries. Even with speculations about industry rivalry, no arrests were made regarding the case.

His death also generated several controversies as many believed the rapper faked his own death.

Despite his relatively short career, the rapper, who died at the age of 25, made a huge impact on hip-hop culture across the globe. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

He also had several albums released posthumously including “R U Still Down,” “Better Dayz,” “Pac’s Life” and others.
