Dr Otti gave the charge during the swearing in ceremony of the new cabinet members on Friday, 7 July 2023 in the State’s Government House Umuahia.

While congratulating the new commissioners the governor reminded them that they were appointed to serve public interest not individual interests and should remained focused on that despite criticisms and challenges that may come their way.

His words: “Congratulations to our newly sworn-in commissioners. Your wealth of experience and commitment to excellence will be pivotal in this mission.

“In this role, you will face scrutiny and challenges, but remember, you are here to serve the entire state, not individual interests or clans.

He further charged to also work towards developing “critical infrastructure like quality roads, effective drainage systems, and robust energy networks.”

“We do not expect miracles overnight, but a daily commitment to our promises is key. As you serve, remember our vision: an Abia where opportunity abounds and the welfare of all is prioritized. Welcome onboard and thank you for accepting to serve,” the governor added.
