The human rights activist, who made the call via a tweet on Thursday, 29 June, warned that if Tinubu fails to make efforts in recovering looted funds, forces behind the alleged corrupt acts would come after him.

“Tinubu should ignore Buhari and go ahead and probe the past Government and recover looted funds. If President Tinubu fails to go after looted funds, looted funds will come after him sooner or later,” Sani wrote.

In another tweet, the former senator accused Buhari of being allergic to being probed and blamed for failures in his administration even when he did so to previous administrations in the country.

“They arrogantly oppressed, dispossessed the poor and the innocent and without remorse seek divine blessings for their injustice and inequity.

“Buhari probed and blamed all the ills and vices of this country on the previous administrations but he is allergic to being probed and blamed,” Sani stated.

The ex-lawmaker’s comment comes amid claims that President Bola Tinubu had assured Buhari that he won’t probe him and his close aides
