Flying Eagles Coach Reveals Influence On Players’ Transfer Plans

December 21, 2022

Flying Eagles head coach Issa Ladan Bosso has sensationally revealed that he will be able to influence the decision of his players in their next transfer moves reports Prime Business Africa.

The January transfer window opens in less than three weeks and some of the Flying Eagles players under him could attract interests from established clubs across Africa and Europe following their impressive performances at the WAFU Zone B tournament which they won.

The sub regional competition served as qualification campaign to the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt between 19 February and 11 March 2023.

The U-20 AFCON will in turn produce Africa’s four representatives at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Malaysia between May 20 and June 11, 2023.

“I would be monitoring the players. I recommend the clubs they sign for because it is important they get good clubs where their games will improve,” Bosso who was in charge of the team to the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada told Brila FM, Lagos.

In a related development, coach of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, Baba Ganaru, has hailed the Flying Eagles ahead of the Afcon and ultimately the U-20 World Cup.

The Nigerian national team had defeated the Lobi side 2-0 in a friendly match.

“The U-20 were physically fit, tactically they need to work on their game though,” Ganaru admitted.

“They can go the distance and even qualify for the U-20 World Cup My players had not played for a while now so it affected us,” the coach admitted.

The qualified countries joining hosts Egypt and Nigeria include: Tunisia, Benin, Senegal, The Gambia, Uganda, South Sudan, Mozambique, Zambia, Central African Republic and Congo.

Nigeria last participated in the CAF U20 AFCON in 2015 and are four-time winners of the tournament.

The tournament was initially billed to start on February 18th but had to be brought back by a week.
