Gospel Music Star, Sammie Okposo Dies At 51

International gospel artist, Sammy Okposo has reportedly passed away at the age of 51. Prime Business Africa gathered that he died after slumping on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Okposo, the CEO of Zamar Entertainment, was a music producer, and psalmist. He was popular for his music, ‘Wellu Wellu’.

The gospel music artist was said to have been involved in marital infidelity. A lady known as African Doll accused him of impregnating her and abandoning her. He subsequently offered a public apology through his Instagram page, and asked for forgiveness.

Following the announcement, fellow entertainers and fans took to their social media accounts to mourn the late singer.

A fellow gospel singer, Tosin Bee, who shared Okposo’s video on his Facebook page, wrote, “Wow! Still can’t believe this. Just last night we were talking about reaching out to you today, that it’s time to release this project that you love so much.

“You poured yourself into it, and constantly following up on the status. Just when we are about to release this project Haaaaaaaa!”

Comedian Woli Arole prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul saying, “May the Lord comfort the Okposo family. Rest In Peace, Sammie Okposo.”
