Ondo Police Chief Calls Owo Catholic Church Attack An ‘Explosion’, Deploys Anti-bomb Squad

Sequel to the bomb explosion that killed scores of worshippers at the Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo Local Government Area, Ondo State on Sunday, the state’s Police Commissioner CP Oyeyemi Adesoye Oyediran has taken steps to bring those behind the crime to book, Prime Business Africa reports.

To this end, men of the Explosives Ordinance Device Unit best known as Anti Bomb Squad have been deployed to the scene as the manhunt for the perpetrators continues.

Prime Business Africa reached out to the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, DSP Odunlami Ibukun who regretted the demise of the worshippers but duly referred Prime Business Africa to the Twitter account of the Ondo State Police Command.

“The Ondo State Commissioner of Police CP OYEYEMI ADESOYE OYEDIRAN psc,fsi has deployed men of the Explosives Ordinance Device unit aka Anti Bomb Squad to the scene while all effort is being intensified to arrest those who perpetrated this evil,” read the official Twitter handle of the Force, Ondopoliceng, on the Owo incident.
