CVR Update: INEC Hits 9.5 million Fresh Registration Of Voters

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recorded 9,591,109 fresh registrations in week six of the fourth quarter of the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR).

According to the data released by INEC as at 7am Monday, May 23 (today), the figure comprises fresh registrants across the 36 states of the Federation and FCT.

Fresh Registrations by states

Out of the total figure of fresh registrations, 6,182,415 voters have completed registration. Those who registered online were 2,746,612, while those who registered physically were 3,435,803.

Demographically, the data showed that male voters are 3,071,702, female, 3,110,713, youths, 4,288,317; and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), 50,761.

CVR Update: INEC Hits 9.5 million Fresh Registration Of Voters

INEC indicated that the overall registered voters since the registration began in June 2021 is 17,689,163.

The electoral body has announced that the voter registration exercise will suspend online pre-registration of voters on 30th May, while all CVR registration will end on 30th June, 2022.
