In a statement by the Lagos State Police Command, made available to Prime Business Africa, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, said the Police on routine stop and search, at about 1.30 pm in Ajah, arrested a Michael Abejoye (Male, 23), and Olalekan Qasim (Male, 43) at Eleko Junction. Both suspects allegedly had on them the regalia of Aiye Confraternity.

In a similar event, the police operatives attached to Ogombo Division arrested two other suspected Aiye Confraternity members, namely, Andoh Emmanuel Kolawole (Male, 25) and Oluwasegun Destiny (Male, 28) on July 8, 2021, at about 6.30 am.

Items allegedly recovered from the suspects include one locally-made double barrel short gun, seven live cartridges, one expended cartridge and some regalia of the Aiye Confraternity.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, while reiterating the Command’s zero-tolerance for violence, had ordered the suspects to be transferred to the Command’s Strike Team, Ikeja, for proper investigation and possible prosecution.
