OSCARS SLAP: Will Smith’s Son, Jaden Reacts As Fans Slam Father On Social Media

Will Smith’s son, Jaden, has spoken out after his father stormed the Oscars stage and slapped Comedian Chris Rock for a poorly-received joke, which the comedian made about the hair loss of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkette Smith.

The 23-year-old took to Twitter to defend his dad’s actions as fans of the awards ceremony continued to berate Will Smith on social media.

He simply wrote in response to the evening event: “And that’s how we do it.”

Jaden also posted a selfie, writing: “My Dads Speech Made Me Cry,” before promptly deleting it from his feed.

Trouble started when Chris Rock tried to joke, referencing how Demi Moore shaved her hair for the role in 1997: “Jada, I love you, G. I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it.” Chris had said.

The Hollywood super star, reportedly, laughed at first but quickly took offence when he discovered his wife winced at the joke. He then stormed the stage and hit the comedian.

In case you missed it, Jada has been struggling with hair loss for some years now and last year decided to shave it all off.

Jada shaved her hair, explaining on Instagram: “Willow made me do it because it was time to let go.”

In 2018, she opened up about her “issues with hair loss” during an episode of Red Table Talk, explaining, “It was terrifying when it first started. I was in the shower one day and had just handfuls of hair in my hands and I was just like, ‘Oh my god, am I going bald?’

She said: “It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking in fear. That’s why I cut my hair, and why I continue to cut it.”

After meeting with a number of experts, the actress reportedly could not get an explanation as to what was happening to her hair so she decided to live with the condition.

“I’ve gotten every kind of test there is to have. They don’t know why.” Jada stated.
