Tribest Strengthens Leadership, Names Ex-UBA Executive Abel Fadebi as Group Director

Tribest Corporate Support Group⁠ has appointed Abel Fadebi as Group Executive Director in a strategic move aimed at strengthening its leadership structure and expanding operations across Nigeria’s manpower, outsourcing, and energy support sectors.

The appointment, announced in a corporate statement, comes as the company intensifies efforts to consolidate its position as a provider of recruitment, workforce management, and energy support solutions for businesses and institutions across the country.

Fadebi joins the organisation with more than 35 years of professional experience spanning banking, manufacturing, oil servicing, and public sector administration.

Before his appointment, he spent 28 years at United Bank for Africa⁠, where he held several strategic leadership positions from the era of Standard Trust Bank through the institution’s transformation into a pan-African financial group.

During his career at UBA, Fadebi served as Head of Human Resources Business Partnering for Nigeria, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Executive Assistant to the Deputy Managing Director/CEO of UBA Africa, and Head of Recruitment Support, Confirmation, and Records.

The company said his contributions to operational efficiency and institutional service delivery earned him multiple awards and recognitions within the banking sector.

Tribest described Fadebi as a seasoned human resources and corporate administration professional with expertise in strategic HR management, recruitment and selection, policy implementation, employee relations, staff welfare administration, outsourcing, and corporate governance.

He also previously chaired the Corporate Disciplinary Committee at UBA, where he played a key role in strengthening institutional discipline, governance standards, and compliance processes.

Speaking on the appointment, Chairman of Tribest Corporate Support Group, Udochi Nwaodu, said Fadebi’s experience and leadership credentials would support the company’s next phase of growth.

According to him, the appointment reflects the Group’s commitment to strengthening governance, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing service delivery as it expands its business operations.

Reacting to his appointment, Fadebi expressed appreciation to the company’s board and management for the confidence reposed in him.

He said he looked forward to working with the management team to strengthen operational capacity, drive sustainable growth, and deliver value-driven workforce and energy support solutions to organisations across key sectors of the economy.

Fadebi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from Obafemi Awolowo University.
