President Bola Tinubu has engaged leading global investors in Paris, outlining his administration’s reform agenda and pushing Nigeria’s ambition to grow into a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
At the high-level meeting in the French capital, Tinubu emphasised transparency, fiscal discipline and policy stability as central to his government’s economic strategy, while defending the rapid rollout of reforms aimed at stabilising macroeconomic conditions and removing longstanding distortions.
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, told investors that Nigeria recorded 11.2 per cent GDP growth in dollar terms in 2025, describing it as a strong signal of the country’s economic potential. He said the government’s immediate focus is to ensure that reforms translate into tangible improvements in the lives of Nigerians, adding that quarterly financial data will be published to boost transparency and investor confidence.
