The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) market capitalisation closed at N140.52 trillion on Tuesday, April 21, compared to the N140.43 trillion reported on Monday, April 20.
According to data from NGX, also known as the stock market, the market capitalisation increased by N87.53 billion.

Over 842.47 million shares were traded in 61,617 deals, valued at N44.86 billion, compared to Monday’s 983.94 million shares exchanged in 76,410 deals, worth N50.76 billion
Top five gainers
- Nascon’s share price increased by N15.60 kobo, from N156 to N171.60 kobo per share.
- Union Dicon’s share value grew by N1.80 kobo, from N18.15 kobo to N19.95 kobo per share.
- WAPCO’s share appreciated by N24 to end trading at N273, having opened with N249.
- TransExpress ended trading at N7.20 kobo per share, from N6.65 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.55 kobo.
- UAC Nigeria’s share value was up by N8, after closing at N110 from N102 per share.
Top five losers
- FGSUK2031S4 share price depreciated by N15.94 kobo, dwindling from N98.94 kobo to N83 per share.
- Legend Internet recorded a N0.62 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N5.63 kobo after opening with N6.25 kobo per share.
- Associated Bus Company lost N0.70 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N6.60 kobo from N7.30 kobo per share.
- Stanbic IBTC recorded a N15.20 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N154.50 kobo after opening with N169.70 kobo per share.
- Access Holdings reported a decline of N2.90 kobo from the previous share price of N32.85 kobo to end trading at N29.95 kobo per share.

- FCMB recorded 57.65 million shares valued at N751.49 million.
- Fidelity Bank saw investors trade 44.80 million of its shares valued at N1 billion.
- Zenith Bank recorded 44.16 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N5.50 billion.
- UBA reported that traders exchanged 43.57 million shares valued at N2.19 billion.
