The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited said the stock market capitalisation rose marginally by N20.63 billion on Thursday, March 26.
According to the bourse’s regulator, the market capitalisation surged to N128.99 trillion, from the N128.97 trillion reported on Wednesday, March 25.

NGX reported that 678.12 million shares in 42,222 deals, valued at N33.13 billion, improving from the 537.99 million shares traded in 45,641 deals, valued at N25.38 billion, the day before.
Top five gainers
- Premier Paints’ share price increased by N3.10 kobo to rise from N31 to N34.10 kobo per share.
- Zichis Agro’s share value grew by N1.14 kobo, from N11.40 kobo to N12.54 kobo per share.
- Legend Internet ended trading at N7.98 kobo per share, from N7.26 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.72 kobo.
- John Holt’s share appreciated by N1.55 kobo to end trading at N17.25 kobo, having opened with N15.70 kobo.
- McNichols’ share value was up by N0.60 kobo, after closing at N6.75 kobo from N6.15 kobo per share.
Top five losers
- UPL share price depreciated by N0.55 kobo, dwindling from N6 to N5.45 kobo per share.
- Sunu Assurance recorded a N0.42 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N4.31 kobo after opening with N4.73 kobo per share.
- LotusHal15 recorded a N12.49 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N133.51 kobo after opening with N146 per share.
- Veritas Kapital lost N0.15 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N2 from N2.15 kobo per share.
- FTN Cocoa reported a decline of N0.40 kobo from the previous share price of N6 to end trading at N5.60 kobo per share.

- Access Holdings reported that 134.59 million shares valued at N3.49 billion were traded on its floor.
- Wema Bank recorded 105.51 million shares valued at N2.79 billion.
- Veritas Kapital saw investors trade 74.14 million of its shares valued at Nq147.77 million.
- Zichis Agro recorded 23.33 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N290.80 million.
- UBA reported that traders exchanged 18.12 million shares valued at N852.53 million.
