Annie Redefines Motherhood, Says She’s a ‘Single Woman Raising Two Kids’

March 3, 2026

Nollywood actress and reality TV star Annie Idibia has addressed speculation about her marital status, clarifying that she does not consider herself a single mother but a “single woman raising two kids.”

In an Instagram post on Monday, Idibia shared a message by user #katyeneff, who describes herself as a “Feminine Magnetism & Aliveness Activator,” reflecting on identity, motherhood, and personal growth.

“I’m not a single Mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids,” the post read. “My children don’t need me married. They need me alive. They need me true. They need me free.”

The message highlighted her focus on personal peace, emotional stability, and legacy, rejecting the stereotypes often associated with single motherhood. “My peace brings them peace. My joy brings them joy. My radiance creates their safety. This is what leading a family actually looks like,” it added.

Idibia emphasised that her journey is not about “doing it alone” but about creating a positive example for her children. “My kids get to watch me grow. They get to watch me rise. They get to see a woman rebuilding her world with joy not bitterness. That is the greatest gift I’ll ever give them.”

The post comes months after her separation from singer 2Baba, born Innocent Idibia. Reports indicate their marriage ended in January 2025, and the couple, who share two children, have pursued separate paths since the split.

Her post reflects a growing conversation in Nigerian entertainment circles about redefining womanhood and motherhood on one’s own terms.
