Super Eagles Rises Four Places In Latest FIFA Rankings

Nigeria has moved up from their previous 36th position to 32nd in the latest FIFA Ranking released by the world football governing body on Thursday.

The Super Eagles side were eliminated in the Round of 16 of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon but they won all their Group D matches.

The team currently led by Austin Eguavoen has been seeded against Ghana during the draw for the final World Cup play-offs in Africa as a result of being among the best five teams on the continent and will face their west African foes over two legs on March 24 and 27.

Belgium retains the number one position in the world and are followed by Brazil, France, Argentina, England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark and Netherlands in the global top 10 rankings.
