Regina Daniels Accuses Husband of Domestic Violence, Family Alleges Assault

October 19, 2025

Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her husband, billionaire businessman and senator, Ned Nwoko, of domestic violence, sparking widespread reactions and renewed debates on abuse within high-profile marriages in Nigeria.

The allegations surfaced after a viral video emerged online showing the actress in tears, saying she could no longer endure the “violence” in her home. “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing… but in my house, I am a queen. I cannot stand the violence; it is too much,” Daniels said in the video that has since been widely circulated on social media.

Her brother, Sammy West, also took to Instagram to allege that Nwoko had physically assaulted his sister. “He beat my sister and smashed her head on the wall,” he claimed, further alleging that the senator sent thugs after their family following the incident.

While the actress has yet to issue a formal statement beyond the viral clip, reports from multiple sources indicate that Daniels may have moved out of the couple’s Abuja residence.

Efforts to reach Nwoko or his representatives for comments have so far proved unsuccessful, and no official statement has been released by the senator.

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko, who married in 2019, share two children. Their marriage had previously generated intense media attention due to the significant age gap between the couple and Nwoko’s political prominence.

The latest controversy has reignited public conversations around domestic violence, particularly within influential families, and raised questions about the safety and rights of women in such relationships.

As of press time, no formal legal complaint or police statement has been made public regarding the alleged assault. Authorities have not confirmed any investigation into the matter.
