FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers: Nigeria Defeat Cameroon, Reach Final Round

Nigeria’s Super Falconets on Saturday qualified for the final round of the FIFA 2022 U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after beating Cameroon 3-0 in the second leg at the Moshood Abiola stadium Abuja.

The Christopher Danjuma lasses progressed into the play- off phase 3-0 on aggregate after the first leg ended scoreless in Cameroon in January.

Esther Onyenezide scored a brace, while Precious Vincent was also on the scoresheet as Nigeria seal a comfortable win.

The two-time world silver medalists, Nigeria are aiming for a 10th outing in Costa Rica.

Two teams will represent Africa at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
