The remains of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has finally been laid to rest at his residence in Daura, Katsina State on Tuesday.
He was interred at 5 pm, after funeral prayers at his house in Daura, according to Islamic tradition.

Aged 82, Buhari died at a hospital in London on Sunday. His body arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar ‘Adua Airport, Katsina on Tuesday afternoon and was received by his successor, President Bola Tinubu, Vice president, Kashim Shettima, and other top government officials and dignitaries.
After a formal reception and brief military parade at the airport, Buhari’s body was conveyed to to Daura for interment.
His burial was attended by numerous dignitaries led by President Bola Tinubu.
Other dignitaries in attendance included Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Vice Presidents Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Atiku Abubakar, Prime Minister of Niger Republic, Ali Lamine Zeine, former President of Niger Republic, Issoufou Mahamadou, and President Umaru Sissoco Embalo of Guinea-Bissau,
Also, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Speaker House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, state governors, ministers and business leaders, including billionaire industrialist, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, were present during the burial.
The state funeral was marked by full military honours, including a reveille and a 21-gun salute.
According to a statement by Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, A week-long programme of events will continue later on Tuesday with a condolence visit to President Buhari’s family by the Presidential Committee.
