Skitmaker Nasboi, Cheats Death In Nationwide Tour For Davido’s Feature

Nigerian comedian, musician and skitmaker, Lawal Nasiru, popularly known as Nasboi, is counting his blessings after surviving an accident that could have claimed his life.

Nosboi who embarked on a nationwide tour aimed at capturing the attention of Afrobeat super star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido for a possible collabo, escaped the accident with just seven out of the 36 states covered.

The crash occurred on June 4, 2025, when Nasboi’s vehicle crashed into a heavy-duty truck although the exact location of the incident was not revealed.

He shared a video of the damaged car, revealing the front end had been completely mangled in the collision. Nasboi who escaped unhurt, credited his survival to divine intervention.

Capturing the incident on Instagram, the Comedian cum skitmaker said: “Omo, me I don’t even know, na laugh I just dey laugh. Because this is crazy, na to give up at this point. It’s crazy but we thank God nobody got harmed. No injuries at all”, he said. “Thank God for life. Few hours ago!! No injuries sustained, No single scratch. Now I’m thinking if I should stop or to continue.”

Some of his fans and fellow celebrities took to the comment section to express their relief and concern for Nasboi’s safety.

While some urged him to stop the tour, citing safety concerns, others encouraged him to push through.

He had less than a week ago, he announced his unusual strategy to kneel across all Nigerian states, a symbolic plea aimed at getting Davido’s attention and collaboration, and had successfully knelt in seven states.

Nasboi who has songs like “Small Money”, “Short Skirt”, “Umbrella” among others is set to drop a new song and wants Davido to feature on the upcoming track.

Recall that Nasboi came to limelight in 2019 when he started mimicking Davido to get his attention for his music but he ended up being an absolute comedian in the entertainment industry.

To get Davido attention again, Nasboi said that he will be kneeling across 36 states for 36 days so that Davido can bless him with a verse. Showing how serious he is, Nasboi kickstarted the assignment in Osun State secretariat making it day one out of 36 days.

He did not stop at that as he urged his fans to be part of the project by tagging Davido in the comment section of his ongoing 36 days post.

Recalling how it all started he wrote; “In 2019, I started mimicking Davido to get his attention for my music, but the videos blew me up as a comedian.. (Gods plan) I am back to plea with 001. Bless me with a verse for this song king. I will be kneeling across 36 states for 36 days.

I pray this dream comes to pass. Please as a fan of Nasboi, just tag @davido everyday when you see the post…. Day 001 OsunState, 35 states to go.”He added; “1 state down! 35 more to go ❤️ Osun State first. Because we’re both from Osun.”
