NOC Congratulates Musa Kida On Appointment As Chairman Of NNPCL Board

Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has congratulated Engr Musa Kida on his appointment as Chairman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Board of Directors.

A statement released on Wednesday, by NOC Public Relations Officer, Tony Nezianya, quoted the committee’s President, Engr. Habu Gumel, saying: ”We in the Nigeria Olympic Movement extend our heartfelt congratulations on your recent appointment as the Chairman of the NNPCL Board.”

Gumel hailed Kida’s leadership qualities and commitment to excellence, noting that he has inspired many people around him and set powerful examples.

”This remarkable achievement speaks to your exceptional leadership, dedication, and vision in sports, both as the President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, the Treasurer of NOC and in the broader Corporate Governance landscape.

”Your commitment to excellence and ability to inspire those around you have set a powerful example for many.

”As you transition into this new role, we are confident that your vast experience and innovative mindset will drive impactful changes within the NNPCL by furthering the development of Nigeria’s energy sector.”

NOC expressed optimism that Kida would make significant positive contributions in his new position.

“We look forward to seeing the positive contributions you will make in this pivotal position.

”We are excited about the future of Nigerian basketball and the NNPC under your stewardship.”

Kida also currently doubles as Treasurer of the NOC.

”Your hard work and dedication are commendable, and we wish you all the success in this new career chapter,”  the group added.

Kida’s appointment was confirmed in a statement released on Wednesday, by President Bola Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who also disclosed that Bayo Ojulari has been appointed to replace Mele Kyari as Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL.
