Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus were the scorers in the first half before an Ilkay Gundogan strike from a free kick scored from a direct free kick.
Swindon’s Harry McKirdy scored a consolation goal but City added a fourth through Cole Palmer’s curling effort in the final 10 minutes.
