Speaking at the event, Kumuyi, thanked God for the new administration that is about to start.

He prayed for God to grant Trump the wisdom to lead well, make good decisions and remain focused on his campaign promises.

The DLCM General Superintendent also prayed that God would grant the church in America the grace of unity, revival, knowledge, vision and forthrightness to speak truth to power.

He equally prayed to God to purge the church so that there will be the holiness and righteousness expected of it and that the church would also have a meaningful ministry in the government of America.

He urged the church to strive for righteousness and holiness, highlighting their significance in creating national change.

Earlier, Pastor Kumuyi met with Robert Pittenger, former North Carolina Representative; Lucas Miles, Senior Director of Turning Point USA Faith; and members of the media.

Writing on his X handle about the meeting he said: “It was great meeting with Congressman Robert Pittinger and Pastor Lucas Miles of @TPUSA yesterday, discussing how we can partner together for global evangelism as we prepare for the Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump.

“The harvest is plentiful, let’s pray for open doors and hearts ready to receive the Gospel!

“We believe in the power of the Gospel to transform lives and nations. Exciting times ahead!”
